This is the third straight year Woods has been honored, finishing as a first-team All-MAC winner in 2011 and earned second-team All-MAC in 2010. This season the senior posted 60 tackles, 2.0 sacks, 7.5 tackles for loss and an interception. Woods earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week status following BGSU's 24-0 win at UMass in which Woods had two tackles, a pass break-up and a 48-yard interception return for a touchdown. Ouellet, who did not even begin 2012 as a starter, recorded 30 tackles, 3.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss. His best game came at Akron, finishing the contest with five tackles and a sack, helping BGSU turn a 10-0 halftime deficit into a 24-10 win. The win was the first of six straight for the Orange and Brown.
Truss earned All-MAC status for the first time in his career, finishing the year with 59 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and four pass break-ups. Truss had 10 tackles at Akron and added six tackles and a forced fumble versus then No. 25 Kent State. The junior added seven tackles and a tackle for loss versus Ohio, live on ESPN2.
