Top 10 Countdown: Why You Should Be At The Doyt Nov. 17
November 08, 2012 | Football
Leading up to BGSU's final game of the 2012 season in Doyt Perry Stadium, the Bowling Green Athletics Department is counting down the top 10 reasons why fans should attend the game. Bowling Green will host Kent State on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Doyt with much on the line. Today, we introduce our No. 10 item.
No. 10 -- Come Root For BGSU To Win Back The Anniversary Award
In 1985, the Bowling Green and Kent State alumni departments created the Anniversary Award, given each year to the winner of the Bowling Green/Kent State football game. The two Universities are tied together as they were both founded in 1910 and the award began for the 75th anniversary of the institutions. Bowling Green is 20-6 against Kent State since the award was founded but the Golden Flashes have won each of the last two games and the Falcons would like to bring the award back home.
In honor of the Anniversary Award being founded in 1985, we bring you the music video to the Billboard No. 1 song from that year -- Careless Whisper by Wham!
