BGSU Men’s Basketball Holds Annual Awards Banquet

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team held its annual end of season awards banquet Sunday night in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Ballroom.
The Falcons went 16-16 during the 2011-12 season and ended 9-7 in Mid-American Conference play. BGSU earned a bid to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT), the first postseason appearance for the program since the 2008-09 team won the MAC Championship and competed in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
Bowling Green had a handful of signature wins throughout the year, including a home victory over Temple in the first year in the new Stroh Center. The Falcons also defeated Ohio, a team that advanced to the Sweet 16, and had road wins at Western Michigan and Miami, ending long losing streaks at both locations.
BGSU graduates three seniors in Scott Thomas, Dee Brown, and Torian Oglesby. The Falcons will return three starters and 12 players in all from the 2011-12 squad.
The team handed out 15 awards during the evening, with Thomas earning four of those. Junior point guard Jordon Crawford earned two awards. A full rundown of award winners is listed below:
