For the second consecutive year, the Collegiate Sports Video Association has named Chris Zuccaro, the 2011-2012 Mid-American Conference Video Coordinator of the Year.
Zuccaro was selected by a majority vote of his peers in the Collegiate Sports Video Association to receive the MAC Video Coordinator of the Year honor. He is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 17, 2012.
The Bob Matey Award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
Chris Zuccaro enters his fourth season as BGSU's Football Video Coordinator. Zuccaro is responsible for overseeing all of the day to day video and technology needs for the football program including the filming and editing of games and practices, producing scouting cutups of opponents, and managing the program's DVSport video network.
He and his student staff also produce highlight videos for the program and assist with the video needs of other areas of BGSU Athletics.
Prior to coming to BGSU, Zuccaro served as the Football Video Coordinator at Western Kentucky University from 2007 to 2008. While there, he oversaw the video and technology needs of the football team during its transition from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) to the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). He also assisted in the video and technology design of the new football operations building.
Prior to WKU, Zuccaro attended Ole Miss and worked as a student video assistant with the football program from 1999 until 2003. He then transferred to Southern Miss and served as the Sports Video Intern from 2004 until 2006.
While at USM, he assisted with the day to day operations of the Sports Video Department overseeing the video needs of all men's and women's sports; mainly the football program.
A native of Natchez, Mississippi, Zuccaro graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006 with a degree in Sport Administration. He and his wife, Jamie, have a daughter, Abigail.
