Phil Steele Names 13 Falcons to Preseason All-MAC Team

Phil Steele's College Football Preview has named its preseason All-MAC team, with the Bowling Green State University football team coming away with some impressive conference numbers.
The Falcons recorded a league-high five first-team All-MAC honors and was second with 13 league mentions (Ohio had 14). BGSU added one second-team honorary, two third-team members and recorded five Falcons on the fourth-team.
BooBoo Gates (kick returner), Chris Jones, Anthon Samuel, Brian Schmiedebusch and Dwayne Woods were named to Phil Steele's first-team and Alex Bayer earned second-team honors. The third team was highlighted by Dominic Flewellyn and Je'Ron Stokes, with Gates (safety), Chip Robinson, Matt Schilz, Paul Swan and Cameron Truss all being named to the fourth-team.
Of the 13 Falcons honored, only Jones, Robinson and Woods will be seniors when the Falcons open the season on Sept. 1 at Florida.
