BGSU Ticket Revenue Increases For Second Straight Year
August 23, 2012 | General
Bowling Green, Ohio - With less than two weeks to go before the BGSU football season opener at Florida on Sept. 1, season ticket sales are up 30 percent over a year ago. As well, season ticket renewals are at 92 percent, compared to 83 percent a year ago, while more than 500 new season tickets have been sold.
This marks the second year of the BGSU Athletic Department partnership with Collegiate Consulting to sell tickets for football, men's basketball, women's basketball and hockey. BGSU saw an overall ticket sales increase of 35 percent during the first year of the deal.
“We are pleased with the results thus far and are encouraged by new football season ticket sales and a strong renewal percentage for 2012,” BGSU General Manager of Ticket Sales and Services Scott Friedman said. “Our sales team's outbound efforts, led by Account Executive Mark Hazel, have paid dividends this summer and our goal is to fill up Doyt Perry Stadium for the 2012 season. This also marks the highest season-ticket base since the 2003.”
BGSU opens its six-game home schedule on Sept. 8 when the Falcons host Idaho at 7 p.m. The Falcons will also host Rhode Island for Homecoming on Sept. 29, Miami on Oct. 13, Eastern Michigan on Oct. 27, Kent State on Nov. 17, and Buffalo on Nov. 23 at Columbus Crew Stadium. To order football tickets, call the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU TICKET.
