Fulk And West Named To 2012 Softball Academic All-MAC Team

The Mid-American Conference released its 2012 Softball Academic Team Monday, honoring Falcons Hannah Fulk and Melissa West.
Fulk finished her junior year with a 3.886 GPA, and led the Falcons in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.327), slugging percentage (.678), runs scored (52), on-base percentage (.463), total bases (116) and total plate appearances (220). Fulk also led the Orange and Brown in home runs (15) and walks (42), setting new single-season Bowling Green records. This marks the second straight season Fulk has been named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
West completed her senior season with a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning a .212 batting average on 33 hits in 57 starts at third base.
Five other Falcons earned honorable mention, including Andrea Arney, Paige Berger, Courtney Cox, Rachel Proehl and Erika Stratton. The complete 2012 Academic All-MAC Team can be found below.
