Josh Pettus Nominated For Geico Play Of The Year

In addition to recognizing the season's top plays, the one-hour CBS special relives the season's greatest moments, players and traditions. The show also marks the culmination of the GEICO “Best of 2012” Football Tour, an interactive fan experience that visits 30 marquee games throughout the football season.
Each week for eight weeks, four incredible college football plays will be nominated as the Play of the Year on the GEICO Best of College Football Facebook page (facebook.com/bestofcollegefootball). The eight weekly winners will then faceoff in a week of finals voting from November 4 through 11 to determine the 2012 GEICO Play of the Year.
Midway through the third quarter, Vandals' quarterback Dominique Blackman dropped back to pass, but was picked off by Pettus after an impromptu tip drill took place between three Falcons. First, Jude Adjei-Barimah had the ball go through his hands and deflect behind him to Darrell Hunter. Hunter wasn't able to haul it in, so Adjei-Barimah came flying in to make the grab, but only popped the ball up another time. Luckily for Falcon fans, Pettus found himself at the right place at the right time and the ball dropped into his hands. Bowling Green went on to win 21-13. To view the play, CLICK HERE!
Pettus' “tip drill” interception is competing against three other plays from week two, including a Hail Mary touchdown catch by Southern Utah's Cameron Morgan, a game-winning touchdown scramble by Louisiana-Monroe's Kolton Browning and a broken-tackle filled run by Taylor University's Robbie Robbins.
