September 21, 2012 | Women's Golf
The women's golf team, of head coach Stephanie Young, is set to head east for the Cleveland State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (September 24-25). The Falcons will be one of eight teams competing at Pine Hills Golf Club.
After starting off the season with a second place finish at the Redbird Invitational, the Falcons finished the Mary Fossum Invitational in 13th place last weekend.
The Falcons will send seven players to Cleveland this week. The lone senior in that group will be Amy Ruthenberg, a native of East Lansing, Mich. Two juniors (Bailey Arnold and Kelsey Benson), two sophomores (Shelby Wilson and Patricia Holt), and two freshman (Hannah Lewis and Lily Bartell) will close out the Falcon lineup.
The Falcons will compete against Niagara, St. Francis (PA), Chicago State, Robert Morris, Youngstown State, Western Ontario, and the host Cleveland State.
Play is set to begin at 9 am on Monday and Tuesday, with 18 holes scheduled for each day.
