Falcons Riding Momentum Into MAC Championship

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) women's golf team is set to compete in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championship, scheduled for Sunday through Tuesday (April 26–28). The tournament is taking place at the Fire Stone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
The Falcons enter the championship with strong momentum after hosting and winning the Dolores Black Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green. BGSU has been remarkably consistent this season, finishing within the top five in every tournament.
Macie Elzinga and Addison Kartusch have each recorded individual first-place finishes this season, highlighting the team's depth and competitiveness.
At last year's MAC Championship, the Falcons secured a second-place team finish, trailing only defending champion Kent State. Kartusch led BGSU with a runner-up individual finish, while Ava O'Sullivan also earned a top-10 placement, finishing sixth overall.

Representing the Falcons at the MAC Championship will be Addison Kartusch, Macie Elzinga, Ava O'Sullivan, Sammie Dolce, and McKenzie Miller.
The Field
BGSU will compete against the full slate of MAC programs, including Central Michigan, Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Kent State, Western Michigan, Toledo, Akron, and Northern Illinois.
Last Tournament
The Falcons captured the team title at the Dolores Black Invitational for the second consecutive year. The victory marked BGSU's second tournament win this season, along with one runner-up finish and two third-place finishes. Notably, the Falcons have not finished outside the top five in any event this year.
BGSU also showcased its depth at the Dolores Black Invitational, with six players finishing within the top 20.
