Jones Set to Play in Raycom All-Star Game

Chris Jones, a member of the Bowling Green State University football team, will participate in the Raycom College Football All Star Classic this weekend (Jan. 19). The contest is in its inaugural season, with the opening kickoff set for 3 p.m. EST and will be carried live on the CBS Sports Network (DirecTV Channel 613).
Jones will be a member of the Stars roster and will be coached by former NFL head coach Jim Bates (Miami Dolphins in 2004).
Jones had one of the finest seasons by a defensive player in school history, earning MAC Defensive Player of the Year after finishing the season with 42 tackles, 12.5 sacks and 19.0 tackles for loss. Jones would go on to be named a first-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America, first-team All-MAC and was named the MAC East Defensive Player of the Week on three different occasions in 2012.
Jones played in 50 games during his Falcon career, starting 44 consecutive contests, helping the Falcons to advance to bowl games in 2009 and 2012. The Brownsburg, Ind., native recorded 157 tackles, 28.0 sacks, 46.0 tackles for loss, fix forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries during his time with the Orange and Brown.
