Matt Johnson Named Ironman Of The Game

Bowling Green, Ohio - In voting by Bowling Green's fans, redshirt sophomore quarterback Matt Johnson earned the Iron Workers 55 Ironman of the Game award after his performance at Mississippi State Saturday.
Johnson completed 20-of-34 passes for 224 yards, including 17-of-25 over the final three quarters. He also rushed for a two-yard touchdown in the third quarter and finished with 29 yards on six carries. Johnson was also named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week.
Johnson beat out Brian Schmiedebusch, Kendall Montgomery and Paul Swan for this week's award. BGSU has the weekend off before hosting the Battle Of I-75 Oct. 26 against rival Toledo at 2:30 pm. Following the game, fans will again have the opportunity to vote for the Ironman of the Game by going to BGSUFalcons.com/Ironman.
