Bowl Game Ticket Sales Surpass MAC Championship Game Sellout

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Athletics Ticket Office has exhausted 6,000 tickets for the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl, over 2,000 more than was sold for the MAC Championship Game. The BGSU Football team, at 10-3 on the season, defeated No. 14 Northern Illinois 47-27 in the MAC Championship and will play Pittsburgh Dec. 26 at Ford Field in Detroit for the final Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.
The bowl game will be the third consecutive contest in which the Falcons will play in an NFL Stadium. Bowling Green earned a trip to the MAC Championship with a 24-7 win over Buffalo in Ralph Wilson Stadium and then defeated NIU in Ford Field on Dec. 6. BGSU is 2-0 all-time in Ford Field, including a 28-24 victory over Northwestern on Dec. 26, 2003 in the Motor City Bowl.
Although less than half of the University's 10,000 ticket allotment remains, there are still seats remaining along the BGSU sideline by contacting the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU TICKET or by going online to Bowl Central at BGSUFalcons.com. Fans can also visit the ticket office in the Stroh Center during regular business hours. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $5 for BGSU students and will be sold until noon on Dec. 23. After that point, fans can purchase tickets through the Ford Field Box Office at an increased ticket price.
BGSU has also announced that eight fan buses have been filled for the game. Limited seating is still available for the fan buses at a price of $25 for non-members and $15 for Falcon Club members (these prices do not include a ticket).
