Tickets are also available for purchase online through the Ford Field Box Office by CLICKING HERE. The Falcons will face No. 14 Northern Illinois at Ford Field in Detroit Friday night at 8 p.m. for the league title.
"We are bringing the Orange and Brown to Detroit," Director of Athletics D. Christopher Kingston said. "We are very appreciative that our fans care so much about Falcon Football. It is indeed a great day to be a Falcon and to share in such a prideful event for BGSU."
On top of selling out of the initial ticket allotment in just two days, the Athletics Department has announced that ten fan buses have been filled for the game. BGSU will be playing in the MAC Championship for the first time since hosting in 2003 and will play in Ford Field for the first time since competing in the Motor City Bowl during that same season.
BGSU reached the MAC Championship by going 7-1 in conference play (and 9-3 overall) and winning its last four games of the season, outscoring those opponents by a combined total of 176-17, including a 24-7 victory over Buffalo on Black Friday in a de facto MAC East Championship game. Northern Illinois enters the contest ranked No. 14 in the most recent BCS Standings with a 12-0 record, including 8-0 in MAC play.
