Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green Department of Athletics has announced the University's allotment of tickets, and then follow-up allotments, for the MAC Championship Game are sold out. In all, BGSU sold out of approximately 4,000 tickets in about three days for the contest.
The BGSU Ticket Office will not be selling more tickets for the game, but fans are encouraged to visit the Ford Field Box Office website to purchase online by CLICKING HERE.
For more information, please visit BGSU's MAC Championship Central section on BGSUFalcons.com by CLICKING HERE. The Falcons will face No. 14 Northern Illinois at Ford Field in Detroit Friday night at 8 p.m. for the league title.
On top of selling out of all available tickets, the Athletics Department announced earlier in the week that ten fan buses have been filled for the game. Information related to the fan buses can also be found on BGSU's MAC Championship Central page.
BGSU will be playing in the MAC Championship for the first time since hosting in 2003 and will play in Ford Field for the first time since competing in the Motor City Bowl during that same season.
BGSU reached the MAC Championship by going 7-1 in conference play (and 9-3 overall) and winning its last four games of the season, outscoring those opponents by a combined total of 176-17, including a 24-7 victory over Buffalo on Black Friday in a de facto MAC East Championship game. Northern Illinois enters the contest ranked No. 14 in the most recent BCS Standings with a 12-0 record, including 8-0 in MAC play.
