Wilson Named MAC Golfer of the Week

Shelby Wilson, a member of the Bowling Green State University women's golf team, was named Mid-American Conference Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office this afternoon. The award dates back to March 8-10, when the Falcons competed in the Rio Verde Intercollegiate.
Wilson posted a 147, the fourth-lowest 36-hole score in school history, finishing tied for fifth among 90 golfers. The sophomore opened with a 72, followed by a final round 75, helping the Falcons finish fifth of 17 schools at the White Wing Golf Club in Rio Verde, Ariz.
It is the first weekly honor in Wilson's career.
