June 20, 2013 | Women's Golf
Patricia Holt and Shelby Wilson, two members of the Bowling Green State University women's golf team, are having a strong showing after 18 holes of the Texas Women's Open Championship, hosted by the Old American Golf Club.
In a tournament that features professionals and amateurs, BGSU's Holt is tied for sixth after carding a 72 in the opening round. The junior-to-be had three birdies on the day. She trails the leaders by four shots heading into today's final round.
Wilson is tied for 40th after firing an 80 on Wednesday. The junior was just three over with four holes to play, but carded a pair of bogeys and quad on the way in.
