Ryan Burbrink Named CFPA National Punt Returner Of The Week

Bowling Green, Ohio - The College Football Performance Awards have announced their week one honors and BGSU's Ryan Burbrink was named CFPA National Punt Returner of the Week.

Burbrink, a sophomore from Shady Side, Mary.) had 76 punt return yards, most of that coming on a 67-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that accounted for the Falcons' final score of the evening in a 34-7 win over Tulsa. After a 42-yard Tulsa punt, Burbrink fielded the ball at the Bowling Green 33 and went 67 yards for the score and a 34-0 BGSU lead.

Bowling Green opened the season with a 34-7 win over Tulsa, a unanimous choice to win its division in Conference USA. The Falcons, at 1-0, will play at Kent State to open Mid-American Conference play Saturday at 12 pm.
