Orange And Brown Scrimmage Slated For Oct. 19

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will hold its annual Orange and Brown Scrimmage Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m. in the Stroh Center.
The Orange and Brown Scrimmage is open and free to the public and is the first opportunity for fans to see the 2013-14 Falcons.
BGSU will host an exhibition game against Malone as part of a basketball doubleheader Nov. 2 at 2 pm. Before the regular season opener at home Nov. 9 against Earlham at 2 pm. The Falcons will play a total of six non-conference home games during the year including contests against American Athletic Conference foe South Florida Nov. 15, NCAA Tournament qualifier Western Kentucky Dec. 2 and NIT qualifier Detroit Dec. 22. The Falcons will then play an expanded 18-game Mid-American Conference schedule before concluding the home portion of the regular season March 4 against Ohio. BGSU will host rival Toledo in the Battle For I-75 Feb. 20.
The BGSU men's basketball team returns eight letter winners, including a pair of starters, from the 2012-13 roster. The Falcons have gone 23-9 in two years in front of the home fans in the Stroh Center with 6-2 Mid-American Conference records in each of those seasons. Under seventh-year head coach Louis Orr, the men's basketball team defeated Horizon League powers Wright State and Detroit a year ago, while pushing Michigan State to the brink of an upset in the Stroh Center.
Season tickets are now available for purchase through the BGSU Ticket Office online at BGSUFalcons.com/tickets or by calling 1-877 BGSU TICKET. Season ticket prices start at $167 and Anderson Club seats are priced at $273 (Falcon Club Membership required at the $500 level). Family Four-Packs (four tickets for each home game) are also being offered for just $256. Single-game group rates are available for parties of 20 or more.
