BGSU Women's Golf 2014 Spring Season Preview Video
Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team will compete in five tournaments this 2014 spring season, including hosting both the Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge and the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
BGSU will open up the 2014 spring slate with the Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge on Feb. 3-4. The Falcons will host the two-day event at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
The Falcons will then take a month off before returning to the links to compete at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational hosted by Western Michigan at the Quail Run at Rio Verde Country Club on March 7-9 in Rio Verde, Ariz.
Bowling Green will then take part in the Colonel Classic on April 4-5 at the Arlington Golf & Country Club hosted by Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky. before returning home to host the annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational.
The Dolores Black Falcon Invitational will be held this season on April 12-13 at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Following the home event, the Falcons will compete at the 2014 Mid-American Conference Championships on April 25-27 at the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers, Ind.
The Falcons are coming off a 2013 fall season in which BGSU recorded three top-five finishes, including a first-place finish at the Cleveland State Invitational on Sept. 23-24. BGSU also posted a second-place team finish at the Rocket Classic on Oct. 14-15 and a third-place finish at the Redbird Invitational to kick-off the 2013-14 season back on Sept. 8-9.
Bowling Green tallied eight top-15 finishes during the 2013 fall season, highlighted by Shelby Wilson's first-place finish at the Cleveland State Invitational and Lily Bartell's second-place showing at the Redbird Invitational.
