Martin Wins IronMan Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- In voting by Bowling Green fans, redshirt senior linebacker Gabe Martin earned the Iron Workers 55 IronMan of the Game award for his performance against Buffalo last Saturday.

Martin led the Falcon defense with 10 tackles, and intercepted a pass in the second quarter at the BGSU two-yard line to prevent Buffalo from going up two scores. Martin also registered a tackle for loss on third-and-one with 3:08 remaining in the ballgame. Buffalo went on to miss a field goal on the next play, and BGSU drove 80 yards on four plays to take the lead for good.

Martin beat out Ronnie Moore, James Sanford and Tyler Tate for this week's award. BGSU continues Mid-American Conference play on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Ohio University at 2 p.m., and the game can be viewed on ESPN3.
