Falcons Raise Money For Kroger Sacks For Cash

BGSU donates $675 to local families in need
Bowling Green State University football was on hand Monday (Mar. 17) morning to take part in the annual Kroger "Sacks For Cash" program. The Falcons, who had 27 sacks during the 2013 regular season, donated $675 to the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank. For each sack during the season, Kroger donated $25 to both BGSU and the University of Toledo.
Head Football Coach Dino Babers was there to represent Bowling Green and his football program, thanking Kroger for their continued support and for giving back to the community. CEO and President of Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, James Caldwell, also spoke and thanked Bowling Green and Toledo.
Manager of Community Relations from Kroger, Cheryl McCormick, spoke to the gathering as well and talked about their contributions to the food bank throughout the year. Kroger gave an additional donation on top of the "Sacks for Cash" donation given by both school's at the Monday press conference.
