Falcon Athletics To Hold Shopping With The Celebrities Event

Come meet Dino Babers and Chris Jans on June 18 at Harold Jaffe Jewelers
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—New head football coach Dino Babers and head men's basketball coach Chris Jans will take part in Shopping with the Celebrities on Wednesday, June 18, which will be held at Harold Jaffe Jewelers who is also the presenting sponsor of the event. Falcon Sports Properties and Harold Jaffe Jewelers recently agreed to a three-year corporate partnership, and this event, which is open to the public, will kick off Jaffe Jewelers' involvement with BGSU Athletics. "The Jaffe family is excited to partner with Bowling Green Athletics and become the "Official Jeweler of the Falcons". We are anxious to meet the new coaches in advance of the upcoming season and pleased to raise some funds for a great cause as well," said Harold Jaffe Jewelers owner, Jeff Jaffe.
BGSU Athletics and Jaffe Jewelers would like to invite all fans to this event. Drinks and appetizers will be provided. The event will take place at Harold Jaffe Jewelers located at 4211 Talmadge Road in Toledo, Ohio, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18. Jaffe Jewelers will donate a portion of the sales from Shopping with the Celebrities to the Wood County Hospital Cancer Care Center. As another incentive to fans, all attendees will have the opportunity to enter-to-win a piece of jewelry from Jaffe Jewelers.
Babers enters his first season as the head coach of the Falcon Football program. In his two seasons as a head coach at Eastern Illinois, he compiled a 19-7 record and won two conference championships. He inherited a last place team, turning them into two-time champions.
Jans will also enter his first season as the head coach of the Falcon Men's Basketball program this winter. As the Associate Head Coach at Wichita State, Jans guided the Shockers to a berth in the 2012-13 NCAA Final Four, and a 35-1 record in 2013-14.
