BGSU Women’s Golf Ranked 24th in the Nation in Team GPA

Coral Springs, Florida – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team was ranked as one of the top-25 programs with the highest team grade point average (GPA) by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for the 2013-14 academic year, it was announced on Thursday, July 24th.
The Falcons were ranked 24th overall nationally with a Team GPA of 3.639 for the 2013-14 season.
"I am very proud of what our team was able to accomplish this past season in the classroom," commented head women's golf coach Stephanie Young. "Being named among the top-25 Division I schools in the nation for team GPA is a tremendous honor for our young women."
The 24th-place national ranking is the highest for a BGSU women's golf squad since the Falcons finished the 2006-07 year ranked 11th nationally in Team GPA.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 500 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
