Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program will tip-off the month of August with not one, but two summer camps – Shooting Camp and High School Elite Camp - on Friday, August 1st, at the Stroh Center.
Registration for both camps is still available online through Thursday, July 31, at: https://commerce.cashnet.com/cashnete/selfserve/BrowseCatalog.aspx?CNAME=INDCAMP.
Walk-ups will be accepted on Friday during the camp registration period in the Stroh Center.
First-year head coach Chris Jans and his staff will hold a Shooting Camp on August 1st from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon). The camp, which is open to students ages 7-18, is $40 per camper and will take place at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The camp will emphasize the fundamentals of shooting and incorporate drills and instruction that will help you become a better all-around scorer.
"My camp staff will introduce you to the fundamentals needed to become a good shooter. I am positive you will leave our shooting camp as a better offensive player," commented Coach Jans.
The High School Elite Camp will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to students in grades 8-12. The coaching staff and a number of current players will spend the day putting each athlete through individual workouts and team workouts.
"My staff and I want you to understand the commitment needed to play college basketball and point you in the right direction to prepare you for the college level," continued Jans. "We are proud of the system we use to build a successful college basketball program and we want to share it with you. At the same time, we want to evaluate you as a player and begin to build a relationship with you."
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. and the cost is $50 per camper for the High School Elite Camp.
