Lewis, Rae Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Roger Lewis and cross country runner Becca Rae.

Becca Rae, a junior from Orillia, Ontario, placed eighth overall in a field of 59 runners at the Mel Brodt Invitational, hosted by BGSU, clocking in with a time of 17:58.44. She finished as the Falcons' top runner for the second meet in a row and helped the team to a second-place finish at the meet.

Roger Lewis, a freshman from Pickerington, Ohio caught the game-winning touchdown Saturday with nine seconds remaining as BGSU defeated Indiana 45-42. It was the Falcons' first victory over a Big Ten opponent since 2007 and the first ever win over a Big Ten school in Doyt Perry Stadium.. Lewis also set a stadium record with 16 receptions for a career-high 149 yards in the game.
