Nick Johnson Wins IronMan Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- In voting by Bowling Green fans, freshman defensive back Nick Johnson earned the Iron Workers 55 Ironman of the Game award for his performance at Wisconsin last Saturday.
Johnson recorded his first-career interception in the second quarter. Johnson, who also registered one tackle, picked the ball off at the Bowling Green four-yard line and returned it 22 yards. The interception marked the third turnover that the Falcon defense created in the first half.
Johnson beat out Andre Givens and Joe Davidson for this week's award. BGSU travels to University of Massachusetts to open Mid-American Conference play on Saturday at 3 p.m., and the game can be viewed on ESPN3. Following the game, fans will again have the opportunity to vote for the Ironman of the Game by going to BGSUFalcons.com/Ironman.
