BGSU Women's Golf Schedule
Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University women's golf head coach Stephanie Young is pleased to announce the Falcons' 2015 Spring schedule, which will include tournaments in Florida, Arizona, Kentucky and Ohio.
"We are so excited about the upcoming Spring season. We will have just under a month to get ready for our first competition down in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.," commented Coach Young. "From there, the team will continue its challenging schedule to set us up for the conference championship at the end of April."
BGSU will tee-off the Spring slate at the Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge on Feb. 9-10, which is hosted by the Falcons at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club in Lakewood, Florida.
The Falcons will then have a month long break before returning to competition on Mar. 13-15 at the 2015 Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan at the Rio Verde Country Club in Rio Verde, Arizona.
"Rio Verde is one of the best tournaments in women's college golf and we are thrilled to be a part of the event again this year," stated Young.
Coach Young's squad will then return to the EKU Colonel Classic held by Eastern Kentucky on Apr. 3-4 at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky, before hosting its annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at the Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio on Apr. 11-12.
Bowling Green will also host the 2015 MAC Championship this year on Apr. 24-26 at the Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio.
"It is a very special time for BGSU and our program as we are hosting 3 of the 5 spring events. The Women's Mid-American Match Play Challenge will be in its second year with strong competition and an amazing golf facility on which to compete early in the season. We will also be hosting the annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational in mid-April. This is always a wonderful event for not only our current team, but for our alumni and friends, and has become such a memorable weekend for so many people," Coach Young continued. "And lastly, BGSU will host the Mid-American Conference Championship at the end of April in Lebanon, Ohio. Shaker Run will be the new venue and should provide a challenging test of golf for the teams. We look forward to providing the best experience possible for the competing teams and student-athletes over the next several months!"
