The Falcons hosted over 100 Princesses
Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University softball program hosted its annual fundraiser, the Princess Ball, last Saturday (Jan. 17) at the Olscamp Hall on the campus of BGSU.
The fundraiser is a red carpet event for girls that are in kindergarten through 6th grade. The annual event consisted over 80 raffles prizes, real life Princesses that interacted with the girls, plenty of photo experiences and other fun activities throughout the evening.
"We really enjoy hosting the Princess Ball. It is so much fun to create a fun and magical atmosphere for these young ladies," Shannon Salsburg, head softball coach, said. "There is nothing better than to see the smiles of the young ladies, whether they are on the dance floor or excited to have won a raffle prize."
The Falcons hosted over 100 Princesses this year. The specials guests (princesses) were escorted by a family member, including parents or friends of all sorts.
"We are thankful for the support of our event and want to say thank you to all who came out this year," Salsburg said.
The Falcons will now set their eyes on February 7, where BGSU will travel to Cleveland, Ohio to participate in the Cleveland State Dome Tournament. The Orange and Brown will begin the season against Niagara at 6:00 p.m., and will play the second game of their twin bill at 8:30 p.m. against Bucknell.
