BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming & diving program started the Matt Ense era off with a victory, defeating Ohio University 157.5-142.5 on Saturday at Cooper Pool. The victory came in the Falcons' first dual meet of the season.
Â
"Today was a great team effort throughout the meet," Ense said. "The team started the meet off strong and we finished the day strong as a group. We showed tremendous heart at the end of races to get our hands to the wall first."
Â
In the meet, the Falcons got off to a strong start, winning five of the first six events on the day. In total, the Falcons were victorious in nine of the 16 events in the meet, taking top place in all but five swimming events.
Â
Individually, Victoria Griffin, Daniela Carrillo and Franziska Wohlert each won two events. Both of the Falcons relay teams also finished first in the meet.
