TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation has added six players to the Biletnikoff Award watch list, the national postseason award given to the season's outstanding receiver. Bowling Green State University junior wide receiver Ronnie Moore was one of the six added to the list on Wednesday. Moore joins teammates Roger Lewis and Ryan Burbrink who were named to the preseason watch list.
Â
Moore, a native of Sanford, Fla., is second on the Falcons with 50 receptions in 2015. He has caught four touchdown passes and totaled 631 receiving yards. His best performance of the season came last week against Kent State, when he caught seven passes for a season-high 151 yards and two touchdowns. He has had at least five catches in seven games so far this year, racking up 95-plus yards in three different games. He also caught touchdown passes against Purdue and UMass earlier this season and had a rushing TD against Buffalo. Moore ranks inside the top 60 nationally for touchdown receptions and inside the top 30 for receiving yards and receptions per game. Â
Â
A true junior, Moore isn't the only Falcon on the Biletnikoff Award watch list having an impressive season. Sophomore Roger Lewis leads the nation in receiving yards with 1,122 through the first eight games of the season. He has caught 58 passes – 11 for touchdowns – and is averaging a nation's-best 140.2 receiving yards per game. Burbrink, a redshirt senior, has caught 40 passes for 492 yards and four touchdowns. All three Falcon receivers on the list have caught a pass in every game in each of the past two seasons.
Â
The trio of Falcon receivers will be in the national spotlight come November, as the Falcons play four games on national television during the month. The first chance the catch the Falcons in action will be a week from today (Nov. 4), as BGSU hosts the Ohio Bobcats at The Doyt. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm on ESPN2, and tickets can be purchased for as low as $1.
