Bowling Green, Ohio - Former BGSU men's basketball standout Richaun Holmes made his NBA debut last night, Wednesday, Oct. 28, for the Philadelphia 76ers in the team's 2015-16 regular season opener.

Holmes scored two points on 1-of-3 shooting from the floor overall in six minutes of play in the loss to the Boston Celtics. BGSU's all-time career blocks leader also hauled in three rebounds and recorded a block in his professional debut.

The first men's basketball player to be selected in the NBA Draft from the Mid-American Conference since 2003 and the first Falcon to be picked since Antonio Daniels went fourth overall to the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1997, Holmes was picked 37th overall in the 2015 NBA Draft in July by the 76ers.

The Sixers open up their 41-date home schedule with the Utah Jazz (0-1) on this Friday night, Oct. 30 at 7:00 PM at The Center.
