Bowling Green, Ohio – Junior guard Zack Denny was named to the 2015-16 College Sports Madness Preseason Mid-American All-Conference Fourth Team for men's basketball, it was announced on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at www.collegesportsmadness.com.

After playing in only three games as a freshman in 2013-14 due to an injury, Denny played in all 33 games last year as a sophomore, starting in 21 contests and logging a team-high 896 minutes of play on the year for the Falcons overall. He was third on the team in scoring at 9.2 points per game and was second on the team in rebounding at 5.2 boards per outing.

He shot 41.7 percent overall from the field in 2014-15, including shooting 39.4 percent from behind the three-point line where he led BGSU with 50 made treys on the season. Denny shot 84.9 percent from the charity stripe and led the team and ranked third in the MAC with 53 steals on the season.

Denny, who is one of eight letter award winners to return from last year's 21-12 team, will be looked upon to help fill the scoring void left this season with the departure of three of the Falcons' top-four scorers from a year ago in Richaun Holmes (14.7 ppg), Jehvon Clarke (10.7 ppg) and Anthony Henderson (8.8 ppg).

The Falcons will host Notre Dame College for an exhibition contest on Friday, Nov. 6, at 6 p.m. ET at the Stroh Center. BGSU's regular season opener will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. ET at the Stroh Center versus New Orleans.
