Lewis Named To Associated Press All-America Third Team

AP All-America Teams Release
Bowling Green State University standout sophomore wide receiver Roger Lewis was named to the Associated Press All-America third team, announced on Sunday afternoon. Lewis, who leads the nation with 1,476 receiving yards, is the first Bowling Green player since Brian Leaver in 1994 to earn AP All-America honors. He is the 24th Falcon to earn All-America honors in school history. Matt Johnson and Lewis earned honorable mention honors by Sports Illustrated earlier this week.
Lewis, a native of Pickerington, Ohio, was also a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award this season. He leads the country with 1,476 yards this year and is third in the nation with 15 receiving touchdowns. He has had seven 100-yard games this season, three of them going for more than 200 yards. After just 27 career games, Lewis' 2,569 receiving yards are fifth in school history for a career. He has 22 career touchdown catches and has been named first team All-MAC in each of his first two seasons.
