Rambo Sets New Personal Best In 400 During Last Chance Weekend
February 21, 2015 | Women's Track and Field
Kent, Ohio / Columbus, Ohio – Bowling Green State University redshirt sophomore Taylor Rambo set a new personal best with a time of 56.76 seconds in the 400 as the Falcons used the final weekend of the regular season to compete with a select number of student-athletes at two meets.
Rambo placed sixth in the 400 at the Kent State Tune-Up with a time that easily surpassed her previous best time of 57.33 seconds at the Akron Invitational on Feb. 7. It is a time that likely moves her into qualifying position for a spot at the MAC Championships. Teammate Brittany Sinclair is the second fastest in the MAC in the event this year with a time of 55.46 seconds earlier in the indoor season.
Redshirt junior Jasmine Redman competed for the first time this year, posting a time of 11:01.21 in the 3000 at the Kent State Tune-Up. On Friday, Kori Reiser and Kayla Velasquez took part in the weight throw at the Ohio State Tune-Up. Reiser placed third with a throw of 56-feet-4 and Velasquez was seventh at 54-11.25
BGSU will be in action Friday and Saturday at the MAC Championships, hosted by Central Michigan. Full qualification lists will be finalized early in the week.
