Falcons Travel To Ypsilanti For 2015 MAC Championships

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green swim and dive team (9-1) will compete in the four-day Mid-American Conference Championships at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan beginning Wednesday evening. Prelims start at 11 am each day with finals beginning at 7 pm (with the 1650 freestyle taking place at 5 pm Saturday).

THE MAC CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM RUN-DOWN
The Falcons are currently ranked second among MAC schools by CollegeSwimming.com. Host school EMU is the favorite heading into MAC Championships, while Miami (OH) and Buffalo are just behind the Falcons in third and fourth. Ohio, defending MAC Champion Akron, Toledo and Ball State round out the rankings heading into the event.

LAST TIME OUT
BGSU concluded its 2014-15 dual meet schedule Feb. 6, with a decisive 177-122 victory over Youngstown State. With the win, the Falcons finished at 9-1 on the season and 6-0 at home in dual meets, its only loss coming the prior weekend against Buffalo.
PRESEASON RANKINGS
BGSU was picked to finish third in the Mid-American Conference for the 2014-15 season, according to the preseason coaches' poll. The Falcons are ranked behind defending MAC champion Akron (ranked 2nd) and MAC runner-up Miami (ranked 1st)
