Bowling Green Pro Day Set For Monday
March 14, 2015 | Football
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—As the National Football League Draft quickly approaches in late April, Bowling Green State University will hold their annual pro day on Monday (March 16). Eight players from the 2014 roster will participate for the Falcons, and scouts from several NFL teams are expected to be in attendance. The day will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Last season, pro day was of benefit as six former Falcons ended up in NFL rookie mini camps during the spring. Bowling Green currently has four active players in the National Football League, including 2015 Super Bowl Champion, Chris Jones (New England Patriots). Kory Lichtensteiger (Washington Redskins), Shaun Suisham (Pittsburgh Steelers), and Alex Bayer (St. Louis Rams) are also on active rosters.
Former Falcons Gabe Martin, D.J. Lynch, Brian Sutton, Ryland Ward, Bryan Thomas, Charlie Walker, Kendall Montgomery, and Jude Adjei-Barimah will participate in drills on Monday afternoon. The group will start with measurements and bench press which kick the day off, before moving into drills at Perry Field House. Among those drills will be the 40-yard dash, broad jump, shuttle, L-drill, and position drills.
Fans will be able to follow pro day at BGSU by following @BG_Football on Twitter all day long. On top of that coverage, video highlights will be provided at BGSUFalcons.com following the completion of drills that afternoon.
