13 Falcons Named Phil Steele Preseason All-MAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—Phil Steele released his 2015 Preseason All-Mid-American Conference selections on Monday afternoon, naming 13 Bowling Green State University Falcons to the teams. Five Falcons earned first team recognition, while three others were named second team. A complete list of the 13 Falcons recognized is below:
First Team All-MAC
WR, Roger Lewis: Had 73 catches for 1,093 yards during his freshman season highlighted by the game-winning touchdown against Indiana.
OL, Alex Huettel: Finishing second-team All-MAC last season. He has started 41 consecutive games.
K, Tyler Tate: Made 23 of 29 field goals last season, setting the school record for career field goals made and field goals made in a season.
P, Joe Davidson: Set the school record last season with 82 punts for 3,497 yards.
PR, Ryan Burbrink: On punt returns averaged close to 10 yards a return and had a long of 75 yards with one touchdown. Earned first team All-MAC honors as punt returner.
Second Team All-MAC
RB, Travis Greene: Enters the season fifth in school history with 2,563 rushing yards. After rushing for 1,594 yards in 2013, Greene had 12 rushing TDs last season.
OL, Jacob Bennett: Played in and started all 14 games last season at left tackle.
OL, Logan Dietz: Played in and started all 14 games last season at right tackle.
Fourth Team All-MAC
QB, Matt Johnson: Missed last season due to injury and will be looking to return to form from a 2013 season which saw him earn MAC Championship Game MVP honors.
WR, Ronnie Moore: Running, catching and returning kicks, Moore's versatility is key to the Falcon attack.
DE, Bryan Thomas: Led the Mid-American Conference with five forced fumbles last season and had two sacks in the Camellia Bowl win over South Alabama.
S, Eilar Hardy: A graduate transfer from Notre Dame looking to add experience and leadership to the Falcon secondary.
KR, Clint Stephens: His 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown versus Ball State last season was the longest in school history.
