SEC Announces Start Time For BGSU's Game With Tennessee

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Southeastern Conference (SEC) announced today that Bowling Green's football season opener against the University of Tennessee at L.P. Field in Nashville, Tenn. will take place at 4 pm ET on Sept. 5 and will be televised on the SEC Network.

Season tickets for the 2015 BGSU Football season are on sale now, beginning as low as $40. Season tickets can be purchased online at BGSUFalcons.com/tickets, by phone at 877-BGSU TICKET, or in person at the BGSU Ticket Office, located in the Stroh Center. Season tickets include numerous benefits including an invitation to the Season Ticket party in August, which includes complimentary lunch and a meet and greet with the team and coaching staff.Â

Any Falcon fan who purchases football season tickets or is a Falcon Club member will receive priority seating for the Tennessee game. Tickets for the game are $55 and are on sale now through the BGSU Ticket Office.

The BGSU University Advancement Office will be holding an Alumni and Friends Weekend in Nashville centered around the football game. The trip includes:
-- Round trip bus ride (leaving Bowling Green on Friday, Sept. 4 at 6 am and returning Sunday, Sept. 6)
-- Two-night stay at the beautiful Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center
-- Friday night dinner buffet at The Water's Edge
-- Ticket to the Grand Ole Opry Friday evening
-- Breakfast vouchers ($10/person) for Saturday and Sunday
-- Game ticket to BGSU vs. Tennessee
-- Transportation to/from the hotel to BGSU's pre-game event and football game
-- Alumni Pre-game event (beginning two hours prior to kick-off)

BGSU opens the season with four non-conference games, including three against schools from the SEC or Big Ten. After playing Tennessee, the Falcons will play at Maryland Sept. 12 before hosting Memphis Sept. 19 at 3 pm for the home opener and Family Weekend. Bowling Green will be back on the road Sept. 26 at Purdue before beginning Mid-American Conference action at Buffalo Oct. 3. Home MAC games include UMass on Oct. 10, Akron on Oct. 17 at 3 pm for Homecoming, Ohio on Nov. 4 at 8 pm, and Toledo on Nov. 17.

Bowling Green is the back-to-back defending MAC East Division champions. The Falcons won the MAC Championship in 2013 and earned a victory in the inaugural Camellia Bowl in 2014 with a 33-28 win over South Alabama. According to Phil Steele (on his website PhilSteele.com), one of the most-respected authorities on college football, BGSU will be one of the most experienced teams in the country in the 2015. The Falcons rank second in the nation in offensive line starts returning, seventh in total experience returning, 11th in lettermen returning and 13th in percentage of yards returning.
