Falcons Fall To No. 18 Ohio State

Columbus, Ohio – Bowling Green State University women's tennis team fell to No. 18 Ohio State Saturday, 7-0 at the OSU Varsity Tennis Center.
In singles, the Buckeyes captured each of the six matches. In #1 singles, freshman Polina Radeva would prove to be great competition against Ohio State's Gabriella De Santis. Radeva won the first set 6-2, Santis rallied back to win the second set 6-4 but Radeva lost the third set tie-breaker, 1-0 (10-8).
Senior Drew Fillis battled it out with OSU's Olivia Sneed in a closely contested first set. Fillis would fall short of the win 7-5, 6-0.
Also competing in singles were juniors Leeah Floyd and Antonina Farrar, sophomore Emily Witt and freshman Paula Comella Aguilo.
In #1 doubles, Radeva and Witt challenged the #6 duo in the nation Anna Sanford/Miho Kowase but fell 6-0.
BGSU's other doubles teams were comprised of Aguilo and Fillis at the second flight and Floyd and Farrar at the third. Both teams fell by 6-1 scores.
The Falcons return to action tomorrow in Detroit, Mich. going against the UDM Titans at 6 pm.
