Bowling Green, Ohio - Before the start of practice on Tuesday afternoon, head coach Michael Huger had a surprise for his Bowling Green State University men's basketball team. Senior Brandon Busuttil, who started his career as a walk-on and has paid his way over the last 3.5 years of eligibility, was awarded a full scholarship by Coach Huger. Busuttil, who is on track to graduate in May 2016, will be on scholarship for the remainder of the season and the entire 2016 spring semester.

Busuttil, who is in his third season as a member of the Falcons basketball team, has played in 13 games for his career totaling seven points, four rebounds and one assist. The senior from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada is coming off his best game yet as a Falcon, scoring five points and pulling down two rebounds in BGSU's 87-56 win over Oakland City (Ind.) on Jan. 2.
