The Pitchers Clinic is for girls ages 8-18, while the All-Skills Clinic is designed for girls ages 13-18. Each of the one-day November clinics will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Perry Field House on the BGSU campus.
The Pitchers Clinic will work to enhance a pitcher's command, velocity, change of speed and deception. Fundamentals will be emphasized at the beginning of the session, and participants will progress through more advance concepts and sharpen their skills, using techniques used by the BGSU pitching staff.
The All-Skills Clinic will provide participants with a competitive experience in both defense and offense in an exposure setting. Players will work with BGSU's experienced coaching staff and players to gain a better understanding of what to expect at the college level.
Defensively, players will be divided into catching, infield and outfield groups, beginning with fundamental drills and working their way up to high-intensity repititions and strategies used at the NCAA Division-I level.
For both camps, participants are asked to wear softball attire, and are required to provide their own equipment. Pitchers are asked to provide their own catcher, and players in each camp are required to wear indoor shoes.
