BGSU To Meet The PAC-12 In Future Football Games

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University Athletics Department has announced that BGSU football will play a pair of football games at PAC-12 schools in the future. The Falcons will travel to Pasadena, Calif. to play UCLA in the Rose Bowl Sept. 3, 2022 and will follow that up with a game in Tempe, Ariz. against Arizona State Sept. 5, 2026.

While Bowling Green has played just two games against current PAC-12 programs all-time, the Falcons now have three games scheduled against the conference in the future. As previously announced, BGSU will play at Oregon Sept. 1, 2018. The Falcons played at Washington in 1986 and at Arizona in 1987.

BGSU will play at UCLA in 2022 and it will mark the team's first game in the state of California since the 1991 California Raisin Bowl, a 28-21 victory over Fresno State. The last California-based opponent the Falcons faced was San Jose State in Washington, D.C. for the 2012 Military Bowl.

In 2026, the Falcons will return to the state of Arizona for the first time since playing the Arizona Wildcats in 1987. That is the only game BGSU has played against a team from the state of Arizona in program history.
