Bands4Change Presents Kesha And The Creepies At The Stroh Center
December 15, 2016 | Stroh Center
Bands4Change has partnered with pop sensation Kesha for their inaugural fundraising music event! It will be held at the Stroh Center on the campus of Bowling Green State University on Friday, January 27, 2017.
Bands4Change was established in October 2015 by Maya Dayal, a 17-year-old high school student from Toledo, Ohio. She founded the company to combine her passion for music with her interest in making quantifiable changes in social issues. Bands4Change creates concert events that raise awareness about local and global social issues, and raises money for charities addressing those issues.
Bands4Change donates 100% of profits from its concerts to charities of the artist's choice. Kesha has chosen three charities to receive 100% of profits from this concert: Humane Society International, National Eating Disorder Association, and Rape Abuse & Incest National Network. Tickets available through Ticketmaster and the BGSU box office. Doors open at 7pm. Early admission doors open at 6pm.
Kesha has taken the world by storm since the release of her debut album Animal in 2010. That year she was declared Billboard's Hot 100 Artist and her smash debut single, "TiK ToK," was named Billboard's #1 Hot 100 Song. Kesha has had eight consecutive Top 10 hits, including four #1 singles: "TiK ToK," "Your Love Is My Drug," "We R Who We R," and "Timber," a multi-platinum award winning collaboration with Pitbull. As a song-writer, she penned all of her own music as well as songs for artists including Britney Spears, Ariana Grande, The Veronicas, and Miley Cyrus. She is an animal rights crusader as the Humane Society International's first Global Ambassador and a passionate advocate for equality being honored with the 2016 Human Rights Campaign Visibility Award. Kesha has branched out into TV, film, and fashion becoming a global cultural icon and winning Billboard Magazine's 2016 Trailblazer Award.
