BGSU Athletics Hall Of Famer David Martin Passes Away

Columbus, Ohio – BGSU Athletics mourns the loss of David Martin, an Athletics Department Hall of Fame football player and wrestler for the Falcons. Martin graduated from BGSU in 1947 and was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame in 1970.
Martin was a graduate of West Salem High School, where he was a tri-captain in football, basketball and baseball. He came to Bowling Green in 1940, playing football and wrestling for the Falcons. On the football field, Martin played guard, fullback and tackle. He left for the military from 1943-46 before returning to graduate in 1947.
