Game Times, Television Coverage Announced For Numerous Football Games

Cleveland, Ohio – In conjunction with its national television partners, The Mid-American Conference today announced game times and carriers for much of the 2016 football schedule. Eight BGSU football games were included in the announcement.

Bowling Green's home opener against North Dakota on Sept. 10 is slated for a 3 pm start time to be broadcast on ESPN3. The Falcons will unveil new turf and renovations to Doyt Perry Stadium for that game.

The following week, the Falcons will host Middle Tennessee State at noon, also on ESPN3. The Oct. 1 Homecoming game against Eastern Michigan will be played at 3 pm with a television selection being announced 12 days prior to kick off.

The next two weekends will see Bowling Green hit the road and the Falcons will play at Ohio Oct. 8 at 2 pm. BGSU will then play at rival Toledo for the Battle Of I-75 at 3:30 pm on Oct. 15. The broadcast partner is yet to be announced for both of those games.

Bowling Green then hits midweek #MACtion for November and the Falcons' game at Northern Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 1 will start at 8 pm on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. That game is rematch of the last three MAC Championship games. BGSU beat the Huskies in both 2013 and 2015.

The Falcons will then play at Akron on Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 8 pm in a contest televised on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. BGSU will return home to face Kent State on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at either 6 pm (if televised by ESPN2) or 7 pm (if televised by ESPNU).

Four other Bowling Green games have not been announced. Non-conference road games at Ohio State (Sept. 3) and Memphis (Sept. 24) will be announced by the home teams, while home games against Miami (Oct. 22) and Buffalo (Nov. 25) are yet to be determined. The Buffalo game concludes the regular season and is played on a Friday.

The MAC Marathon Championship Game will be played Dec. 2 at Ford Field at 7 pm. BGSU has played four games in Ford Field in the last three years – each of the past three MAC Championship Games as well as the 2013 Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl.
