Roos and her staff -- which is comprised of assistant coaches Jacey Brooks, Nick Moore and Jessie Ivey, director of operations Monique Rosati and video coordinator Amanda Cutcher -- are just over a month away from the team's exhibition game at the Stroh. The group of returnees includes a pair of seniors in Rachel Myers and Haley Puk, who are joined by a trio of juniors in Maddie Cole, Sydney Lambert and Carly Santoro. The sophomore class is comprised of Andrea Cecil, Caterrion Thompson and Jane Uecker, and redshirt freshman Clare Glowniak also returns after missing the bulk of the 2016-17 schedule due to injury.
The nine returnees are joined by five freshmen, including Terri Battle, Madisen Parker, Angela Perry, Sierra Thompson and Kennedy Williams. All 14 Falcons took part in Monday evening's practice.
Falcon fans will get their first chance to see the 2017-18 team in action on Sunday, Nov. 5, when Seton Hill (Pa.) comes to the Stroh Center for a 2:00 p.m. exhibition. The regular season begins the following weekend, with BGSU hosting Eastern Kentucky on Friday evening, Nov. 10.
The non-conference schedule includes four other home games, with Canisius, Valparaiso, Xavier and Ferris State coming to the Stroh,, along with trips to Detroit, Robert Morris, South Dakota State and Cincinnati. BGSU also will take part in the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament in Boca Raton, Fla.
The 18-game MAC schedule begins with a trip to Kalamazoo for a Dec. 30 matchup with Western Michigan. The MAC home opener comes on Jan. 3, 2018, as BGSUÂ meets Eastern Michigan
