BGSU Announces Promotions for Wednesday's Battle of I-75

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics has announced its promotions ahead of the annual Battle of I-75 against the Toledo Rockets. The contest will kick off at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening (Nov. 15) and will be held at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Below is a breakdown of the giveaways, events and activities that will take place throughout the game.

- Free student parking.(voucher in Campus Update)
- First 100 students will receive a commemorative Battle of I-75 Falcon Flight Line t-shirt and be a part of the fan tunnel.
- First 400 students will receive BGSU-branded eye black stickers
- First 500 students will receive a BGSU-branded tumbler and a coupon to purchase hot chocolate for $1.00
- First 800 students will receive a holiday-themed BGSU knit hat
- Free food will be given to the first 150 students at the tailgate area (behind west tickets booth).
- Student 50-50-50 is currently set at $50.
- One student will have the chance to win $5,000 In the Coca-Cola Punt, Pass, and Kick Promotion, presented by Falcon Fanatics
- All-State Tailgate Tour Fan Experience (Southwest Endzone) - It opens 90 minutes before kickoff, and the first 300 fans will receive BGSU and All-State-branded knit hat.
- Falcons Fighting Hunger: Fans can drop off a non-perishable canned food item at Gate 2 for this annual event, held by the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Fans who donate can receive a coupon for a discounted ticket for events to take place on Feb. 3, 2018.
- This week's game sponsor is A.A. Green.
- The following tables will be available on the concourse: Moocho, College Advantage 529, the Toledo Blade, the Army, and the All-State Tailgate Tour.
- Fans who wish to show off their cooking and tailgating skills can enter into the Best Dish and Best Side category by clicking on the link (CLICK HERE).
- A panel of judges will attend your tailgate prior to kickoff to sample food and determine a winner.
- The winner(s) will receive a VIP basketball experience for a mutually agreed-upon game during the 2017-18 men's or women's basketball season.
- To enter the contest click on the link (CLICK HERE) and fill out the form! A representative from BGSU Athletics will be in contact with you within 24 hours after registering.
- Pre-Flight with the Falcon Marching Band will take place 65 minutes before kickoff.
- The Falcon Marching Band will also perform on the field during halftime. The show is titled "Journey to Mars".
- Following the game, the band will perform the 5th Quarter.
- Falcon Tailgate Park will open at 5:00 p.m.
- Free food for the first 150 students at the tailgate (behind the west ticket booths)
- The kids zone will have inflatables and face painting.
- The game is another event on the BGSU Fraternity and Sorority Life Challenge schedule.
- BGSU fraternity and sororities will be competing against each other to see which group can attend the most BGSU athletic events.
- This year-long challenge will award $5,000 to the winner.
