Cleveland, Ohio – Bowling Green State University redshirt sophomore Rachel Walny has been named the MAC Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the Mid-American Conference today.
The BGSU outdoor track and field team opened the season Friday and Saturday at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State. In fact, she is 22 seconds faster than anyone else in the conference and shattered her own collegiate personal best by 14 seconds.
Bowling Green will be back in action Friday, April 7 when the Falcons compete in the annual Toledo Dual. BGSU has won each of the past four meetings in the Battle of I-75 against the Rockets.
