Comella, Tavpash Named MAC Doubles Team Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis doubles team of sophomore Paula Comella and freshman Marharita-Sophia Tavpash were named Doubles Team of the Week this afternoon by the Mid-American Conference.
Comella and Tavpash captured their 14th overall doubles victory against the RedHawks Sunday afternoon at Keefe Courts on the campus of BGSU. The duo defeated junior Nelli Ponomarev and sophomore Anzhelika Shapovalova of Miami by a score of 6-4, at the No. 1 position.
The Falcons hit the road for two matches against Buffalo (Apr. 14) and Akron (Apr. 16) before returning home to close out conference play versus Northern Illinois (Apr. 21) and Western Michigan (Apr. 23). All matches are set to begin at 1 p.m.
